Remake/Remix

Many designers re-imagine or update design from the past in hope to reference it. This careful use of detournement, justifies itself through its appropriateness to the message. It can also aid in making the design syntactically correct. This design methodology could be used for the faber and faber book jacket. I could re-appropriate book covers from the past to reference history and a time of classic book jacket design.

In this series of remake book covers the designer has gone to the extent of giving the book covers scuffs and marks to make them appear like old classic books. This transforms the film into a classic.
